A0489: Are lucid dreams the same as astral travel?
If we are going to talk about lucid dreams, then we must first explain what a lucid dream is. When we have clarified that, then we will tell you what astral travel is, because neither of the possibilities just mentioned is something that you can experience as a human being. If you have not understood what we are talking about, then you should read the rest of the text carefully.
What is a lucid dream, we ask? When you are asleep, a portion of a partial consciousness will appear on the dream stage that we have already described. How can you imagine this process, we ask? Imagine that you are very busy and before you know it the day is over. What does this have to do with a lucid dream? If in the evening you can hardly remember what you have been doing all day, then you do not have a bad memory, but your consciousness has been somewhere else all the time and when your attention is somewhere else, who has been doing any thing all day? You were, but only with a part of your partial consciousness and that part is you as a person, but in retrospect you were hardly aware of it. At least you think so now, but that part of you was fully aware all the time and did everything that you can hardly remember now. Isn’t that strange, we ask? No, not at all, because your personality is composed of several subconsciousnesses and each subconsciousness alone is much slower with its thinking tasks than when several or all subconsciousnesses think as one.
The part of a subconsciousness that has arrived on the dream stage in our example is to be interpreted like the subconsciousness that carries out all the tasks in the background all day long, which you can hardly remember in the evening. You as a person are fully conscious on the dream stage, but you think very slowly and your daytime consciousness is not as capable of reflecting the dream as if you had attained full consciousness in the dream. This not only sounds logical, but also implies that every dream must be a lucid dream. It only depends on how large that portion of your partial consciousness is that is present there. If you are present on the dream stage with a larger share, then you can remember the dream better than with a smaller share of your partial consciousness. If the portion with which you attend the dream stage is very large, then you will not only remember every detail of the dream, but your so-called day consciousness will become more conscious.
The so-called day consciousness is the part of your partial consciousness that you normally perceive every day and with which you are now reading this text in a very concentrated way. If you no longer know what the original question for this blog entry was, then you do not have the so-called day consciousness. If you know almost everything that we have just explained, then you are consciously reading with your so-called full day consciousness and you will still be able to repeat a lot of the text in the evening. When you become more and more conscious on the dream stage, then the share of your partial consciousness on the dream stage increases more and more and from a certain share of your partial consciousness you suddenly know that this must be a dream. You call this moment the lucid dream, but actually you have always been consciously present on the dream stage, but only with a small portion of partial consciousness. When you realise that you are dreaming, you begin to change your environment and something extraordinary starts here, which we will now explain to you.
When you dream, you are on the dream stage with a portion of a partial consciousness. The dream stage is on an astral plane of your planet. This astral plane borders on the spiritual world, but it is in your universe. Your universe is a really tiny component of the spiritual world and you are within your universe. You are on an astral plane as well as in the spirit world and because you are creative beings, a thought from your subconsciousness on the astral plane can redirect energies and create forms that you can then admire. You do it every day, but not consciously on an astral plane, so you can magically create your environment in dreams. You do what you have always done before incarnating as a human being, you form shapes on the astral planes, but only on the astral planes of the earth in your universe. Now these so-called astral travellers come into play, of which there are indeed some among you, but they are very rare.
Who do you think created the dream stage on which you appear every night, we ask? You don’t know? Then we want to tell you. It is us, and by that we mean the masters and teachers of each person. Each of you humans has at least one master by your side and we have often explained why. You used to call us spirit guides, but we are the spiritual beings who accompany and support you for the physical life. One of our tasks is the dream stage, which every human being visits every night, with a part of his partial consciousness. This dream stage is prepared by us every night to teach you something. Sometimes we just want to draw your attention to something and sometimes they are real lessons that you receive every night. Sometimes we also let the partial consciousness do what it feels like doing and sometimes we want to teach the human being about the spiritual world, so that the human being becomes very conscious as a part of his partial consciousness and discovers that he is dreaming. Man then begins to create forms on the astral plane and to change the environment. But if the human being wants more, because his curiosity drives him to it, then the human being explores this dream stage.
We as spiritual beings can create whole worlds in an instant on the dream stage, which the human being then explores and experiences as a so-called astral journey. Only very few people will explore the spiritual world that lies outside your universe out of a so-called dream. These people are then true astral travellers and those who can travel that far are allowed to do so, for no human consciousness travels through the spiritual world unless it has been given permission to do so. You are creative beings, what nonsense do you think you can do in the spiritual world. That is why you will experience many astral journeys on the dream stage and some of you will also explore the earth-astral planes, but very few people will ever experience a real astral journey to explore the spiritual world.
You are astrally present on the dream stage every night and sometimes you are conscious to the extent that your so-called daytime consciousness comes out so that you are more conscious on the dream stage, but we are always with you and will teach you in one way or another. We do this with you every night, even if you don’t realise it most of the time. If you want to become more conscious on the dream stage, then use reality checks, they will help you, but if you do not receive permission, then you will never astral travel from a dream, neither in the spiritual world, nor on the earthly-astral planes. You have to earn it and that also means you have to be trusting, without that it doesn’t work and every spiritual being on every level can forbid you an astral journey if it thinks you are not yet ready to undertake an astral journey.
