A0464: How is the Revelation of John to be understood? – Part 8

John was a busy man of the Church and he did a vast amount of astral travelling which always amazed him because John was able to experience things that would be unparalleled among present astral travellers. Even your well-known personalities who have written many books on astral travel have not had the extensive knowledge of John, because John could become astral at any moment. John had received this gift from the angel for his present task and your personalities are astral travellers, but only with a small portion of the so-called day consciousness, so that they wandered about astrally, but were not completely masters of their senses and thoughts. John, however, was able to astral travel with the same state of consciousness that every human being has when awake. Before we come to the stories with which John was able to reform the Church, we will briefly reveal some of John’s astral incidents, because John learned many things on these astral planes and from the beings who resided there. 

One day, when John wanted to explore the boundaries of the astral plane, he experienced some strange things that you surely do not know yet. John wanted to experience the end of the astral plane and thought of the end of the astral plane. John was already astrally present on the fourth main astral plane and after he spoke the mental expression for the end of this plane, John was still where he was before. Astonished, John repeated the experiment, but it always had the same result. As the John was thinking about it, a being came along, as so often happens, and asked the John why he was looking so sad, and the John replied. 

“I wanted to explore the end of this plane of existence, but apparently I don’t have permission to do so.” 

“Why do you want to find the end of the plane?” Asked the being and the John replied. 

“I wanted to see what else was there and what it must look like.” 

The being looked astonished and asked “What should there be at the end of the plain?” 

“That’s what I wanted to find out, but I can’t get there, it irritates me.” 

“Maybe you’re not thinking about the end of the plane properly?” 

The being looked curiously at John, but John knew nothing to say in reply, so the being spoke. 

“John, why do you want to explore the end of this plane when you do not yet know at all what there is on the plane. If you look around you could spend your whole human life exploring this plane and you wouldn’t be able to get a view, so why would you like to know what the end is?” 

John was aware of who stood before him so he said curiously. “I would still like to know what it looks like there, it interests me.” 

“Then come, take my hand.” Said the angel and John obeyed. 

When they reached the end, it looked exactly like the place where they started and John puzzled realised “We haven’t progressed at all, what does this mean?“ 

The angel explained to John. “John, if you believe that the spiritual world has an end, then you still have not understood this realm, for your consciousness determines how far you can travel. If you have travelled much, in this realm, then you can travel with only one thought to the place that is farthest from here, but if you cannot imagine what comes after, then you travel only as far as your consciousness can carry you. You don’t know much of this realm yet, that’s why the end has its beginning here, but once you look around, this end of the plane will expand more and more.” 

John understood what the angel was saying and he began to explore the known place he knew more and more, to expand his boundaries more and more and his horizon of experience has been expanded to the same extent, so we advise every person to first explore what someone supposedly knows before setting goals outside the horizon of experience. 

One day John wanted to travel to where he supposed the Creator to be. For this he had devised a special ruse, so that he hoped to get there by means of well-intentioned questioning. When he was again astrally present at the usual place, he asked a being, which he thought was a spiritual being, if he could show him the direction where he suspected the path to the Creator. The being spoke to the John. 

“Why do you seek the Creator, what could the Creator offer you that you do not have yourself?” 

A little surprised by this answer, he answered the being’s question. “I would like to ask some questions about why humans exist in the first place and what was his motivation for creating humans!” 

The being looked at him confused and asked again. 

“But you are the creator, why don’t you ask yourself or ask someone who can show a profound knowledge about it?” 

Now the John also looked confused because he did not understand what the being meant. John thanked him and walked a few steps. In front of him stood the angel and asked. 

“John, why are you still looking for your creator when you know that you were not created by a creator, because you yourself are a creative being? If you wanted to, you could theoretically create a world with beings, because you have the power to do so. If one day such a being comes looking for you, what will you tell that being who you are?” 

John understood what the angel meant, but even though John had heightened consciousness on the astral plane, he still could not overcome the ecclesiastical indoctrination and so John continued to search for his creator for quite some time until the angel told John about the Wingmaker who not only created the blueprint of the human species, but who conceived of every physical being and who create entire universes. When John heard these stories, he stopped looking for his creator, but John did not fully understand, but he did not want to and no one persuaded him to. 

We want to tell another incident that will show how cunningly John proceeded in the reformation of his church. John wanted to know how much money was spent on a bishopric and how the expenses were compiled. But the real motivation was to make it clear to everyone how much money is wasted on keeping such an institution afloat. He asked in his bishop’s office how much donations had to be collected so that all the expenses of the bishop’s office would also be capped. When the John received the answer, he asked again if that was really enough and the following answer then gave rise to a heated debate in which many church representatives were at loggerheads for years. 

“We would like to communicate that we always want to collect more money so that we also never get into the threat of money being scarce one day, so we would not set a limit and accept whatever we can catch. We hope some weighty donors may donate a lot so that we can count on full coffers. We recommend that all members of the church be called upon to pay their collections and name those who refuse.” 

The John saw this as a sin against the members and published the letter so that the members of the church community could also read what was in store for them if they did not pay properly, so that the church members approached the head of the bishopric asking them to take a stand on this. The heads were forced to take action by the outraged members so that such action was forbidden and many men of the church began to expose these unseemly practices and then suppress them so that the church would not be immediately attacked. The members of the church will also take action against the bishopric the next time an offence is committed and such a thing the church definitely wanted to stop so a simple request by John ensured that all could see how rapacious the church was and after the church realised that this was not going down very well, they did many things to counteract further exposure. 

John achieved a lot and without him and many “accomplices” the church would not be what it represents today. Therefore, we have only great praise for John’s deeds, with which he went down in history as the great reformer of the Christian Church.
