A0430: What is called a person’s intelligence?

If a person is smart, then the person can do one thing particularly well, otherwise he or she would not stand out with what he or she does. If a person has a high perceptive faculty, then the person recognises connections quite quickly. If a person can enumerate prime numbers quite quickly, then that person has a good memory, but none of these examples explain what constitutes a person’s intelligence. If we were to explain to you what we understand about the intelligence of a person, our explanations would fill whole books and we doubt that the writer would go along with it, so we will now explain in outline how you can recognise a more intelligent person than you are.
Very intelligent people are neither confused nor aloof, nor do they boast about being intelligent, but you can recognise intelligent people by the fact that they do not stand out at all. Why is that, you may ask, and we will tell you. Intelligent people are always good at assessing the overall situation because intelligent people are also always good observers. Intelligent people do not stand out because they do not want to stand out. There are many people who are good at one or more things, but they always want to stand out so that their special gift is also registered. Intelligent people don’t care because intelligent people know that they are good at something, but if they are so good at something, what is the point if nobody can recognise that this person is good at something, we ask? They observe, that is quite enough for them. What is intelligent about that, you ask? People who stay in the background will always have an impact on a group, because there is always a leader wolf and there are followers, but sometimes there are people who stand out from a group with their level-headed nature. Now, if there is a leader wolf and a level-headed person in a group, after a while the leader wolf will always follow the level-headed person, so that the group dynamics will always follow the level-headed person. An extremely intelligent person knows this because he can see through the group and its actions very well and instead of elevating himself to a leading wolf, the intelligent person changes the group dynamics out of the group and this can only be done by people who are intelligent enough to understand the group as a whole and who are so human that they act out of the group, for the cause of the group, without making themselves a leading figure. Only intelligent people act like that, other people can do certain things very well, but you don’t have to be very gifted for that. Prudent people, however, have this talent and if they use this talent intelligently, they can achieve more in a group than the most charismatic leader.
